Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF Prisoner/box cars who are they for? Scary!!

I heard a guy talking on the radio about these FEMA style prison cars that you can clearly see on the website. I was wondering who these cars are for? Us? Illegal aliens? Has anyone seen these? I heard they are made by Gunderson Steel Corp for the government. Does anyone have any knowledge of these cars? Here is the link:http://www.dccsa.com/greatjoy/boxcar.htm

These ar BNSF auto carriers Triple deck.

Been around for 2/3 years now. Several roads use them.

Obviously somebody's yankin' somebody else's chain. That's an AutoMax car.

If it is an auto carrier, why are there windows and bars on them? I have seen many auto carriers and this does not look like one to me. I hope you guys are right. Freaked me out!

Before BNSF got these cars they use Jailbox cars from TTX.

These are Auto Max cars used by Honda. Run on BNSF, CSX, NS for Honda. Honda just bought $100 million dollars worth of these cars. They run in and out of Sandy Eggo all the time.

Here's a shot I took on Cajon. Auto-Max, KCS, and BNSF. These are articulated auto carriers. Two cars with a single center truck for both cars.

Wow, this webpage is just so looney I don't even know where to start. You should have a look at the rest of his website... (Or, well, maybe you shouldn't bother, it's ten minutes of your life you'll never get back.) Definitely a few fries short of a value meal. When you see a giant floor with straps on it in a *freight car*, which ones of us pass over "freight tie-down" as an explanation and go straight to "prisoner restraint"?

Looks like a pretty typical tri-level auto rack to me, but that's what the secret one world government is making me think by using professional baseball's mind control satellite. Better line the inside of my Rio Grande cap with tinfoil again. Then again, UP probably has localized psychic sensors crystals in there to see if I'm thinking about violating their trademarks.

I just looked over this wacko's site, This guy is DEFINITELY a candidate for the rubber room. I think he needs to add another layer of tinfoil to his hat.

Windows not big enough for anyone to get through let in light so the persons loading cars into said AUTO carrier can see what they're doing. Those aren't bars, it's an expanded metal mesh with circular holes to keep brats from throwing rocks through and damaging the AUTOS inside.

Or the Secret Service is paying me to sistract you into thinking this is a normal railroad car while they sneak up behind you and take you aw .......

OK, sandmanre, I'm on to you. I can tell that you used Photoshop to make those scary prisoner cars look like auto carriers.

You gotta get up pretty early in the morning to fool me.

Ten thirty, quarter to eleven, at least.

The Holes or so called "windows" are on the car so the wind can pass without blowing the car over since they are so tall and light. Same as the other AUTO RACKS.

The upper level is for our short midget friends who have criminal records, but the nice thing is the are on a sort of house arrest, they can take their car with them to the BNSF prison <g>.
