Thanks in Advance. Date: 01/08/06 08:12 Re: TEM7A's in Texas Author: TexBob They've been gone from the Port of Houston for 3-5 years now.
IIRC, they were scrapped. Date: 01/08/06 09:27 Re: TEM7A's in Texas Author: filmteknik They shoulda museum'd one. The same sort of displaced exhibit like the PA in the Mexican museum.
Date: 01/08/06 09:50 Re: TEM7A's in Texas Author: Castle_Romeo I'm surprised that they were never used in lease service. All that needed to be done with them is the AAR Compatibility issues which could've been worked out at a place like NRE-Silvis. I'm sure they would've made great lease units.

Date: 01/08/06 13:29 Re: TEM7A's in Texas Author: 9T90 I'm pretty sure they weren't scrapped, but were sent back to Russia where they were subsequently overhauled and then sold/hired/leased to Russian industrial operations.
Date: 01/09/06 04:12 Re: TEM7A's in Texas Author: Jaap I am pretty sure they were scrapped, the locomotives got here in 1992 but quality of these things was so bad that by 2000 only 7 remained, in photo you can see that carbody had actually deteriorated to point thht holes appeared in car body, they rusted more than bad Automobiles.
