The Spray Car had this odd (to me) truck under it. Does anyone know what kind of truck this is? Name, etc? Yardclerk Date: 12/27/01 19:16 My perspective ... Author: powerbraker1 Was usually several cars to the rear, head out the window, shoving 10 mph, breathing the vapors. Usually took a week to cover the entire division.

car pictures scanned for a web page I'm working on. I have pictures of the "final three" cars Santa Fe built in the early 80's from lightweight economy baggages (199206-199208), but the only picture I have of the earlier heavyweight cars is this one of the 199203 standing condemned at Albuquerque almost exactly 20 years ago. Would you mind if I used your images of 199202 on my page, with credit? Date: 12/28/01 04:51 RE: Time For a Santa Fe Weed Spray Break 1971 Author: yardclerk Evan,
I would be pleased to have some of my pictures on your website. Thank you for asking. PLease post the URL to your website. I still haven't recovered all my bookmarks after my hard drive died. Jim Pattillo Yardclerk Date: 12/28/01 06:42 RE: Time For a Santa Fe Weed Spray Break 1971 Author: atsfman Brings back memories. I worked for Santa Fe summers during the late 1950's while attending Phillips U in Enid. My dad was the yard engineer at Enid, and I would get hired as (get this) yard clerk or car clerk at Enid during wheat rush. Then when rush slowed down, they worked me along the Oklahoma Div. as vacation relief until classes started. The agent at Enid was C J Mccloghin (spelling) who was a tough cookie, especially when I forget second shift one evening to call in a telephone interchange of 80 cars of wheat on the CRIP interchange. Night guy found it about 3 AM, cost santa Fe extra day per diem. I was down in Oklahoma City a couple of times. After college went to Topeka GOB for 11 years in Supt. of Car Service, then into the new computer department.
I model the Oklahoma City mainline, including Nowers and Flynn as in 1989, plus the Enid District. Bob Miller Date: 12/28/01 11:26 RE: Time For a Santa Fe Weed Spray Break 1971 Author: kcjonz Thanks for posting. I thought all their spraycars were blue and yellow.
