Here is the 1989 coming into Colorado Springs yesterday
passing the old Rio Grande Depot behind an ex-SP AC4400.
The second shot, I asked the conductor
to shut the nose door,is near the Cimarron Crossovers
while they where sitting out a few cars for the local.

Nice shot of an ex-SP! That patch is almost dirty enough to be overlooked. And out on the point too—the last one I got was buried mid-consist.

Wish it wasn't patched.
But tonight after work SP 347 was on the point of an
empty coal train heading north through Kelker
in south Colorado Springs.

Empty Kings Mill, TX. train. The 347 was the DP when I had the load. The leader was a patched SP 244(UP6290) leading. Wonder why they mixed the power up. Empty symbol EKMCJ17. The SP AC's run good. They load when the throttle is moved like an EMD.
