Western Railroad Discussion > What became of them?Date: 05/28/02 20:31 What became of them? Author: photobob What ever became of the EMD SD70M demos.
They were quite common on the I-5 corridor a few years ago. Heres EMD 7019 west at the east switch of Andesite. Date: 05/28/02 20:41 Re: What became of them? Author: SP9794 >What ever became of the EMD SD70M demos
CSX now owns all of them. EMD/LLPX traded them to CSX for a bunch of GP38s/GP40s/GP15s and switch engines a couple years ago. I think they use them in phosphate service in Florida. SP had them on long term lease from EMD, UP decided to send them back when the lease expired. Then EMD sold/traded them to CSX as SP9794 has explained.
