Diamond HT antenna RH77CA
Author: raylewis

For those of you who wanted to try and buy one of these antennas, like myself, found out that they were backordered at universal-radio.com. I found them at a store here in Phoenix, HAM Radio Outlet, they have a website, and are nation wide. The store here in Phoenix had six in stock. Just in case anyone was having trouble, or is like me and can't wait. I havent had a chance to use it yet, but if UP is still detouring on the Seligman sub on Saturday, Ill let you know what I think of it. BTW- I paid $24.95 for it, 3 more $ that at universal radio. I bought my first RH77CA from http://www.universal-radio.com
and they still seem to have the best price. I lost my first
one and I bought my next one through AES for $24.99

$24.95/$24.99 seems to be the going price. For other sources see:

I don't think it's exactly the same antenna at CCrane. If you look at the BNC connector on the C. Crane model, it appears to be unshielded, that is, open. The BNC connector on true Diamond RH77CA's is closed and shielded, preventing dirt, grime, and other bad stuff from getting into the connector and muddying up the connection.

I think there will be alot of people out there that will be happy that they followed all the good feedback on that antenna. And bought one for themselves.Roadrat
