Western Railroad Discussion > Milwaukee Road in Fargo ND then and nowDate: 01/28/11 12:31 Milwaukee Road in Fargo ND then and now Author: Cjcheely Hello
The Milwaukee Road from 1884 to 1980 ran 117 miles from Ortonville, MN To Fargo ND. Built as the Fargo and Southern railway starting 1881 and completed in 1884 and later sold to the Milwaukee Road. Today I explored the area around the Depot area in Fargo. The Depot in a food store currently and freight house is apartments. 1. Photo of the depot from 1948 from Tochi products 2. The depot today, build in 1901 then in December 1974 a fire badly damaged the depot in was rebuild by tochi products. Inside the food store there are nice railroad displays. 3. The Freight house that has been converted to apartments For more info on the Fargo & Southern please check out http://www.fargo-history.com/transportation/fargo-southern-rr.htm Enjoy CJCheely Date: 01/28/11 12:36 Re: Milwaukee Road in Fargo ND then and now Author: UPTRAIN And probably illegal controlled substances. But hey, it beats making it a parking lot for a bus station or an airport.

My question is why is it otside under a tarp? http://www.coffeecreek.info/index.shtml Traingeek087 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/28/11 15:59 by traingeek087. According to a post on the MILW Yahoo! list in Dec. 2009, the person restoring the car stopped work when prospective buyer backed out. Too bad as this is the last surviving Creek-series cars left (as opposed to the Rapids-series of which the 261 group has the Cedar Rapids). At least it is wrapped and somewhat secured.
