My Day On Union Pacific's Jeff City Sub went okay, 5 trains in 2 and a half hours, not bad. Even tho this line isn't as interesting as it used to be when I first started rail fanning it back in the late 90's. I made this trip to Washington Missouri today to see the UP 2001 and UP 1982 pass through which were just 5 minutes apart from meeting just east of Washington. Anyway thanks for the heads up (you know who are) and thanks for looking.

All pictures were taken on January 2, 2012 and also my first rail fan trip of the year.


1: Amtrak 179 leads today's #314 at Washington Missouri.

2: UP 5921 & UP 7304 leads an eastbound AEPX coal train through Washington Missouri.

3: UP 6479 & UP 7131 leads an eastbound CAEG coal train through Washington Missouri.

Nice shots jeff 2001 shot is great.

I really debated getting up to Malta Bend this morning but with a -14 wind chill this morning I rolled over and went back to sleep.
