It was just one of those days you were committed to and you just had to make the best of it. In short, young "mg8711" & I chased the whole Marysville, KS to Kansas City Union Station leg of the 844's latest excursion. And boy did we hit some rain. At one point between Rossville & Silver Lake, KS in poured so hard visibility was down to a few car lengths. But we persevered. Got a few shots. There might be a few interesting details in the captions...
1. UP Goodwill Ambassador 844 is awakening in Marysville, KS. 2. & 3. The 844 excursion passing under KS hwy 16 in Onaga. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/31/16 21:34 by santafe199. 8. Taking the high-line approach to Kansas City Union Station via Santa Fe Jct Interlocking, which is just ahead. 9. It just captures a mood that you would never get on a sunny day. And of course it's enhanced by the barn and the setiing. just wish they would have had wooden instead of concrete ties. Guess you can't have everything. Fantastic image!!

Author: sp7878 Excellent shots. It seems like the last several tours of the 844 did not include hauling passengers. What is the purpose of just running around the country? Don't get me wrong; I am glad they are running it.
