Western Railroad Discussion > Signal Sunday: Mendon, MODate: 11/11/12 05:09 Signal Sunday: Mendon, MO Author: santafe199 On the return leg of my recent trip to Illinois I visited Mendon, Missouri hoping to catch a WB train in that late afternoon golden sunlight passing through the still standing searchlight signal-equipped bridges. A clear signal indicated a westbound train was lined up on main #1 but the train came too late. So I shot the next best thing: I shot some sunset silhouettes. Enjoy...
1. 2. & 3. Various scenes at the crossover plant in Mendon, MO. Shown are the not-long-for-this-world signal bridges with the classic searchlight signals still directing traffic for Santa Fe successor BNSF. Edited 2 time(s).
