BN 476 disposition
Author: BrianA

I am looking for current disposition on ex-BN NW2 476 that Cargill picked up after BN retired it. Last information I have is it went to Minnesota first and in the early 1980's ended up at Joplin, MO. There is no information on if it was ever repainted or what's happened to it since. I get the feeling it's been scrapped by now but would like some verification. Anyone been by the Cargill facility at Joplin recently or know of what's become of the 476?

Here is the 476 in Seattle on 5-30-79 in BN green. Unit was built as GN 5329 in 1941 and later renumbered to GN 129. It wore GN's Big Sky Blue before the BN merger.

Thanks for any help on what happened to the 476.
