Another SP bites the dust
Author: bnsfsd70

The UP 1482, had recently been in scarlet and grey, and this afternoon I caught it in fresh UP paint on (I believe) the MKCNP at Midland, KS.

Reluctantly,

Ah, yes. I remember passing this train and seeing that shiny GP40-2. Just another North Little Rock dip.

Yes Jeff, they are really sharp looking--these are out of NLR and usually the symbol is NLRNP when they travel through Oklahoma. Even the grey trucks don't look bad when they are clean. Thanks for showing.

Just had the UP-1489 go by MP-351, Bliss, Idaho on the 10th and it too looked brand new. Don't know what it's past is but it sure looks good now.

Originally a B&O GP40, rebuilt by M-K in 1991 for the SP. Used to be called a GP40M-2 when SP had it.
