If so have they been coming up the coast?
Thanks in advance Date: 11/29/12 22:45 Re: Coast Line activity - update please Author: SF3751 Haven't heard of one container train on the Coast Sub in sometime, don't think anything has changed.

Kinda limits how many trains you can run. Date: 11/30/12 18:41 Re: Coast Line activity - update please Author: ButteStBrakeman PHall Wrote:

Not reallly, as that is all the helpers that have been in SLO for the last 20 years or more. That one set can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week back and forth over the hill. There are quite a few crews terminaled out of SLO. Also, there are quite a few on reserve boards. As far as numbers go, I can't give you that info as I don't have it. The biggest problem the company would have is finding a crew to man the trains if an abundance of traffic were to happen, as they don't work but maybe 4 to 6 trips per month. After having that kind of time off, crews sorta get lost when things pick up because of detours and such. All engineers that work out of SLO of course are qualified on the helpers, main line pool work and local(s). V SLOCONDR Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/01/12 07:40 by SLOCONDR. |
