Western Railroad Discussion > Coast Starlight at Shasta Retreat a few minutes agoDate: 12/02/12 09:24 Coast Starlight at Shasta Retreat a few minutes ago Author: photobob The Sacramento River was rolling pretty fast through Shasta Retreat this morning after last nights downpour. Amtrak was a couple of hours late after some some slow running along the river on the lookout for rock slides.

PT Smith Date: 12/02/12 12:00 Re: Coast Starlight at Shasta Retreat a few minutes ago Author: coaststarlight99 The rain we've been getting here in CA has been really something. Hasn't rained this hard in quite some time. I'm not surprised at all that the Starlight is running late. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been annuled due to all of the mud slip-sliding around the hills up there.

Running late is a good thing for me so that we have breakfast before getting to Emeryville!!
