Seems to come on trains from Roseville. Date: 12/02/12 16:26 Re: First from Pepper in awhile including pics of CSX 4 Author: dharris Second unit in the first shot is an SD70...

There are several different ones that are very common if u look for them. This website has several examples of the chalk markings: http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/hobotags/Timeline
It just someing else to look at when a train is going by. I can get my non railfan wife to look for them as well. She likes Raildog. As to the SD40-3 the nickname ive been hearing is SpongeBob Square Cab. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/02/12 18:59 by howeld. There's always something interesting at Pepper, even if there is "not much." Thanks for posting. Date: 12/03/12 13:56 Re: First from Pepper in awhile including pics of CSX 4 Author: wp805d Have seen this 'tag' on cars in Indianapolis and even on cars I spot in Kendallville, IN.
No specific type of car, everything from covered hoppers, cement cars, tank cars and boxes. Always with a date in the whistle and whatever he is feeling below. Always wondered where they originated. Roland WP805D Date: 12/04/12 10:01 Re: First from Pepper in awhile including pics of CSX 4 Author: Boiserailfan Those marks are hobo markings. Not sure who does them or where they come from. Only one that I seem to know alot about are the "Colossus of roads" ones. Nice catches all around.
