Winton, Minnesota
Author: BaltoJoey

Over at Shorpy there is a photo that shows a railroad crossing in Winton, Minnesota.
There is a question as to where the photo was taken as well as where the depot was located.
Can anyone here provide the answers?

Winton trackage would be that of the Duluth & Iron Range, built in the 1880's. Merged into Duluth Missabe & Iron Range in 1939. Winton wason the end of a long branch line, and was served by RDC's in the 50's. No Yellowstones!

Here's the Sorpy link.
