Yes PRB coal. UP brings it in on the LittleRock sub. Been long time waiting and long fight for AEP to get this plant up and running.

Out of curiosity, what's the UP destination symbol for this new plant?

AEP, American Electric Power, and its affiliated companies have been champions of coal use over the years.

I was curious what exactly constituted an "ultra-supercritical" coal-fired plant, and for anyone else who might be wondering, this excerpt provides a brief definition:

If I heard the dispatcher right he was calling CCATU. Reporting marks on cars are AEPX.

Yes and No part of the lawsuit settlement deal in addition to millions being paid out was in order to open this plant AEP has too shutdown two older plants. Not sure on shutdown time frame, but i've heard that one of plant is the one near Welsh, Texas. This plant uses KCS/BNSF to haul the coal. The net power gain will not be much after these two plants are shut down, but emission is reported to be cut in half.
