A loaded grainer was southbound through Shedd today. Power on the other end was UP 8201 and CP 9514.

Was that the train of nearly all aluminum Cargill hoppers??

All but the head five were CGAX rib-side covered hoppers.

Did you happen to get an axle or car count on that train? It was pretty nearly as long as Shedd siding.

No Axle count. I caught the empty train heading to Canada on the 11th;

Those Cargill hoppers do have something odd about them. With all the CP power, it was probably coming from Eastport.

Note: Eastport, Idaho, on the Canadian border, is where Union Pacific interchanges a lot of freight, especially grain, to Canadian Pacific.

Nice catch. I can't pin it, but those hoppers are different. Pretty cool seeing that unit train in the valley again

Yes, and when I saw it on the D-Cam, UP 5435, an AC4400CW, was leading.
