New GE Locomotive Tries To Escape From Ft. Worth!
Author: bnsfengineer

This brand new GE Locomotive apparently wanted to get out and run at the new Ft. Worth GE Locomotive Plant.
No other details at this time.

Someone forgot to chuck the wheel... and also forgot to do the independent release with the handbrake applied and reset of the jam.. Next question is who or whom do we drug test?

It didn't want to go on in life in that ugly BNSF paint.

Now just imagine you crewing a train approaching when you see loco breaking through fence.

This incident happened less than a month ago I believe. Amtrak train #821 went by it moments after it crashed thru the fence. Engineer told me about it upon his going off duty in Fort Worth that afternoon.

They'll have to go a ways to beat putting a unit atop
the mound of dirt at the end of the Erie test track,
some years back.

I saw that unit on Thursday in Kingman, AZ. Second unit on a westbound Z-Train.

It's GE's new "creative management" hiring practice at work!

"OK, Creative Management & Assembly Team #1, how do we get this built engine out of the building??"

I would guess a higher berm will be added, one that should have been included in the original design.
