Western Railroad Discussion > Fuel Points on BNSFDate: 04/07/13 11:45 Fuel Points on BNSF Author: mearsksealand What are the fuel points on the BNSF Transcon and the HiLine across the top?
I know Barstow, Belen and Clovis on the Transcon and Hauser on the Hi Line--Where else does the Bnsf fuel to complete trip to Chicago Thanks for any info Dale Smith Date: 04/07/13 12:00 Re: Fuel Points on BNSF Author: mg8711 Kansas City is one of them.
Lucas Date: 04/07/13 13:58 Re: Fuel Points on BNSF Author: zchcsse Barstow is a minor player in terms of fueling through trains. For westbounds, there are two "inspection tracks" that have fuel pumps, and eastbounds have fuel pumps on one inspection track, and one Main track.
Other than correcting "oops" situations, the only trains that get refueled in Barstow regularly are some of the trains to/from central and northern, CA (ones that go over Tehachapi). -Tom Date: 04/07/13 14:49 Re: Fuel Points on BNSF Author: kdrtrains Fuel points is where you get free fuel after you spend a certain amount. lol
