Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF units at UP West OaklandDate: 06/25/13 20:33 BNSF units at UP West Oakland Author: atsf121 Spotted two BNSF units at the UP engine facility in West Oakland, CA from BART tonight on my way to the airport. One GP yellow bonnet and one pumpkin that I think was a GP60M. I've seen plenty of BNSF units at the OIG yard, but what's the story with these two?
Saw plenty of trains while on the train. Looked like they were turning the Zephyr as we left West Oakland and spotted a southbound Capital Corridor at Colesium. Nathan Date: 06/25/13 21:25 Re: BNSF units at UP West Oakland Author: wharfrat They derailed all over the place Sunday AM at the west end of the yard and are bad order waiting repair.

PT Date: 06/27/13 01:33 Re: BNSF units at UP West Oakland Author: atsf121 Ouch, thanks for the info. Don't think I've heard about the 204 job before, but a quick search shows that it's an interchange with UP there at West Oakland. How often does it run, and what kinds of traffic is being exchanged.
Thanks, Nathan |
