JULY 8 RED UNIT Train-run from Fresno to Los Angeles CA. Expected over TEHACHAPI LOOP late-morning to mid-day.

I have been looking at the schedule.. certainly is an amazing ping ponging around the State of California.. I know the dates are reserved long in advance ..

Yeah, the show personnel are ALSO thinking the same thing, LOL! But that's the job of the show's "Department of Routing & Tours," and the building availabilty is what determines the schedule 99% of the time. It does make it a LOT MORE FUN to have this many train-runs throughout the state: it's that much more availability for railfans to see the train and film it. Hey, the SHOW is incredible, and is worth EVERY PENNY spent -- I've seen it, and can vouch for it's family adventure spirit, and not just because I'm a "Ringling Veteran" from years past. "Built to Amaze" is everything they say it is and more, especially in towns where they hold the "Animal Open House" 90 minutes before the performance for all ticket holders: a chance to see the animals UP CLOSE (less than 10 feet!), then go to the ALL-ACCESS PRE-SHOW on the arena floor for an HOUR before the 2+ hour show. Yeah, that's a LOT for your money, and proves to everyone what the TRAIN is all about - the necessary conveyance and HOUSING for 350 men, women and childred as well as the "financial saving grace" which allows The Greatest Show On Earth" to keep going despite the economy. Even the show's owner, Kenneth Feld, has publicly stated he can't even imagine how many trucks it would take to move this show and its personnel from city to city....

I will assume over T loop and over to Colton, or will it come through Soledad cyn, and through San Fernando Valley?

When the Red unit moves from San Diego on Aug 12th, will it go up the coastal route or over the Loop and through the Valley?

the way it has always gone in the past is via the Palmdale Cutoff.. crew change at West Colton.. the coaches will be spotted one place and the equipment will be unloaded at another..

what time will the train leaving fresno

I do not know if that particular run has been "confirmed" with BNSF and U.P. just yet; we'll know more as that date gets closer. "Stay tuned...."

rbx thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to seeing train in action over Tehachapi and seeing the show in Ontario already got the tickets....

I will post info of the train movement when I get for all TO members looking to chase it on monday.
