You should notify the NTSB immediately. They'd appreciate all the help they can get.

Yep it is a long way for a fire department. Years ago near 1980, a train with drunk engineer ran into the back of another train and killed 2 or 3. Fire departments came from Barstow, Apple Valley, and other places. We were there for 36 hrs. The only food was a sorry Roach Coach, sent out by Santa Fe. It was interesting watching the work crew pull away the wrecked cars, then build a Shoe Fly, then watch trains travel at about one mile per hour. This might shut things down for a while. We had fire, has-mat, death, and hard work. They buried most of the cars, salvaged the engines and shipped them back to Barstow, etc. Pretty interesting watching and pretty dangerous fighting that fire. They shipped 3-4 10,000 gal tank cars from Barstow with water and the same from Ludlow. We used most of it I think. I have forgotten lots from then, but it was a tiring time.

Haha, didn't take long for the FIS (Foamer Investigative Service) to issue their findings!

Not THAT train, they would only be interested in the 2 trains involved.

Tonight's 4(22): Buses to Needles, CA to connect with 3(21) equipment which turns to represent 4(22).
Train 3(21): terminates at Needles, CA with passengers bused to destinations.

Buses at Los Angeles, CA between 730pm and 800pm representing train 4(22). Early estimate is train 4(22) to depart Needles, CA three hours late.

Ludlow has the wiggle detectors too. Probably caught the bad bearing right before it took a dump.

Woke up around 2100 tonight and logged in to see who was my new helper and seen the message. Then I told myself I'd hit up Trainorders for an in-depth look when I got to work. Thumbs up.

Are you sure it's not stuck breaks?
