A Visit to OERM ......Barn 7......
Author: miralomarail

Yesterday , I paid a Visit out to the OERM ( Orange Empire Railway Museum Perris, Ca ) as part of Their " Behind The Scenes " tour

Barn #7 at the rear of the complex is usually off limits to visitors, however this weekend , for a small fee, you get a Tour that includes a ride on a Vintage Bus out to Barn 7

It is here where the Ex Santa Fe War Bonnet is coming back to life, inside this 6 track wide building are Various Street Cars, Freight Cars, Passenger Cars and Diesel Locomotives

Love the bus--we had buses like that in Salina KS in the 50s-60s when I was growing up.

Back in the 1960s, my daughters and I rode the RTD bus service in the San Gabriel Valley (east of Pasadena CA). Most of the time, we had boxy "New Look" Flxible coaches, but occasionally one of the older buses from the 50s would be pressed into service. The girls would see it coming, and one of them would announce, "Look, Daddy! A round bus!"
