remarkable consist on Joint Line . .

. . Amazing luck getting out of a meeting this morning and reading a text from TO member CZ about a southbound BNSF manifest train with KCS-CSX-KCS-NS-CSX-NS power consist that passed Littleton, CO, on the joint UP-BNSF Denver Pueblo Joint Line main, at 0514 hrs with additional info that a coal load then rail train were running ahead of this amazing lashup. Arriving back home I found the rail train passing through Palmer Lake, headed up the hill to the house changed shoes then back to the crossing and here he comes;
top: climbing into Palmer Lake on main #1 with main #2 in the foreground.
middle: with the sun out and a consist like this had to hit the quick pick Monument spot where I arrived righ on CZ's bumper.
bottom: then headed to the south side of Monument to a spot appropriately called "Woodcarvers Curve" (note street sign) where it began to get cloudy so I said a big thanks to CZ for the tip and headed for home and lunch.
Just another day in the neighborhood on the ever interesting and sometimes surprising Joint Line.
JB

What an Unbelievable consist! Glad you guys were out to catch it.
I like that first spot, pretty sure the bushes in the foreground cover that view up in the Summer.

Great catch & photos. Were they headed for Noah's Ark? A pair of each.

Photo 3 is the location of station named Borsts. Named for an engineer (civil) who surveyed some , if not most, of the original D&RG route to Pueblo.

Considering this used to be the CB&Q affiliate C&S, I would title this "Everywhere East"
