. . after a tip from SD45X a while ago that the BNSF O train seen earlier in the week was southbound past Littleton I had an hour or so of light left but lazed out and stayed home. Then, a while ago my wife and I had an urge for a sundae so headed down to the Rock House, an ice cream parlor right here in Palmer Lake, but, with a southbound waiting at CP Palmer Lake for a northbound had to head north first to see if the O train happened to be waiting behind at the sag, a couple of miles north of Palmer Lake and there he sat after slowly following a coal load and a manifest all the way up from Littleton. I appreciate that as I got out to take a quick shot the engineer kindly flipped the headlights on bright. A fine ending to another fine day in the neighborhood. Thanks D.
