This morning dawned cool and crisp, with a light breeze and only light cloud cover. Following my 'schedule', I arrived at Orrick, MO about 0630, and set up shop with the intention of getting some sunrise photos. The Missouri River had created quite a blanket of fog over the night-time hours, and the fog had spread as far north as Floyd, which created a 'smoky' look in the valleys as the sun began to rise. Without any of those pesky clouds to filter the sun's rays, the fiery sunrise was spectacular to observe in person. 1. A Westbound train has stopped shy of the signal at Floyd, waiting its turn to cross the Missouri River bridge at Sibley, MO 2. The reason the WB was stopped was a Z train, pointed by a 4-pack of GE products 3. Those are simply stunning photos! I like all iof them. The first is especially compelling. wow.....just wow.......... IOTD!
