Thanks to a heads up from Jim Leonard this morning. I went out and caught 8102 at Swan Ranch. Happens to be the only one of the NS heritage units I have in HO scale so kinda nice to see it in person.

I see they split the power now. Is it the DP now?

I think it will be DPU power since the way they have to go out of there very well may stick it going north on the C&S. Then the whole train would go South.

Somewhat off subject, but wasn't UP supposed to have access to the Swan Ranch also. Seems to me that so large a development as S/R is would demand multiple carrier service.

Announcement was made months ago that UP will be getting access. They might make that the place to interchange the ballast trains, doing away with said trains blocking most E-W streets in Cheyenne.

I think I am prejudiced toward the Wabash or the Central of Georgia units.
