Western Railroad Discussion > 8102 at Swan RanchDate: 04/20/14 10:05 8102 at Swan Ranch Author: UP6936 Thanks to a heads up from Jim Leonard this morning. I went out and caught 8102 at Swan Ranch. Happens to be the only one of the NS heritage units I have in HO scale so kinda nice to see it in person.

The Iron Horse Date: 04/20/14 10:40 Re: 8102 at Swan Ranch Author: UP6936 I think it will be DPU power since the way they have to go out of there very well may stick it going north on the C&S. Then the whole train would go South.

God's beautiful outdoors!. Steve Date: 04/20/14 12:59 Re: 8102 at Swan Ranch Author: kalthoff Somewhat off subject, but wasn't UP supposed to have access to the Swan Ranch also. Seems to me that so large a development as S/R is would demand multiple carrier service.

They might make that the place to interchange the ballast trains, doing away with said trains blocking most E-W streets in Cheyenne.
