Noted on the drive home last night that the traffic islands on the southside of town had a couple flyers about the meeting and the "Exploding Balken Oil". Seeing those I figured it best to avoid the meeting and do something worthwhile at home - lest I need bail money for the morning.

Though I have not encountered any issues while out photographing trains be warned - tensions are high based on what I saw on the news and in the local rag.

Media these days survives by whipping up unfounded fears and reaction. While there are a few fanatical environmentalists, most people couldn't care less.
