Western Railroad Discussion > Windmill Blades Down the Front Range YesterdayDate: 04/23/14 09:41 Windmill Blades Down the Front Range Yesterday Author: FrontRangeTrains Yesterday, BNSF ran a loaded windmill blade train over the Front Range Sub, which was a nice surprise. The train had to meet the local, a manifest, and a track inspector at Longs Peak before heading south into Denver. I decided to get the train at the hills near Gunbarrel, Colorado just northeast of Boulder. After grabbing shots there, I headed over to Legion Park in Boulder to the overlook. The train was moving really slow out of town (slow order I assume) so I decided to get ahead of it one more time at the top of Burkes Hill near Louisville. I wonder where this train came from and where it was going.
