Western Railroad Discussion > UP's Business Train in Ramona, KS Yesterday...Date: 04/23/14 10:50 UP's Business Train in Ramona, KS Yesterday... Author: oklachaser Made a trip north to Kansas yesterday with fellow TO member SCKP187 to chase the UP business train. We met santafe199 at Herington & the chase began. We shot at several different locations & met with PRose later in the day at McPherson. We ended the day in Salina, KS to visit with Bob & Lance; stopped by Cozy INN for a bag of burgers & headed back to Tulsa. The weather was perfect which made for a great day. It was good seeing Lance(santafe199) & Bob(PRose). Here are a few photos I took.
Photos taken April 22, 2014. Photo 1: Winter wheat field & UP 8822 between Herington & Ramona KS. Photos 2 & 3. UP 8822 departing Ramona KS after a brief stop. Thanks for looking. Love the shot over the young Kansas wheat field. Just a few minutes earlier I had skated around the other side of Ramona and saw the train slowing downfrom the south side, but I decided to try and catch it down at Durham (which I did). I'm sifting through the IDs & locations for about 150 images from yesterday, but I should have something to post in a few hours...
Good seeing you honorary Kansas Gangsters again, as well! Lance Date: 04/23/14 12:21 Re: UP's Business Train in Ramona, KS Yesterday... Author: switchlock Very nice pics. I need to make an effort to get out.
