A small town of 98 people has been evacuated in Wyoming after an explosion at a natural gas plant.
Williams Gas Plant, about five miles outside Opal, has been shut down after the explosion and fire rocked the plant around 2 p.m. MDT Wednesday, said plant spokeswoman, Michele Swaner.
Swaner said there are no injuries, which a spokesman for the state's Department of Transportation confirmed.
Swaner said the plant is working to make arrangements for everyone affected by the evacuation. She said all 42 workers have been accounted for.
As for a cause for the blast, she said it's still under investigation

US Highway 30 is closed between Granger and Kemmerer.
The Union Pacific line through Opal is also closed. The yard in Kemmerer is full of trains waiting for the line to reopen.

Wouldn't help much. Opal is north of Granger, WY,
on the old Oregon Short Line route that leaves the
Overland Route at Granger and heads to Portland.

The Overland Route is not shut down.

Photo 1: normal Kemmerer yards. Oddly enough the tank was removed from the Williams Opal Plant.
Photo 2: the yard earlier today... I think they are running trains now but US 30 through Opal is still closed.
