This is a friendly REMINDER that tomorrow, July 23, is the day the 61-car Blue Unit Circus Train is making its move from Ontario California to Anaheim, California. Actual times are not known, but that's one heck of a LOOOOOOOng passenger train, what with 40 psgr.-type cars ahead of twenty-one, 89-ft. flatcars! Good luck in getting some interesting photos and/or videos of the move.

JULY 23 BLUE UNIT Train-run from Ontario to Anaheim CA.

2014 Blue Unit Circus Train:
---61 Cars (40 conventional passenger-type cars; 21 TTX-[type] piggyback flats)
---4,490 Tons (when fully loaded)
---5,409 Feet (WITHOUT host RR's power attached; 1 mile = 5,280 feet)

Usually the two Ringling' trains move on Mondays (sometimes Mondays/Tuesdays on longer jumps), so a WEDNESDAY move marks a rarity for them....

I'll be the hogger tomorrow on the run from Kaiser to Anaheim. Another crew will be building the train at Kaiser. I just hope they give use some better power than they did last year for this move. Last year we had a couple of beat up SD60s.-BMT
