Western Railroad Discussion > Clean Heavy ACe & 1988 on the Yuma Sub Today

Today's Ft. Worth-West Colton inbound manifest had the MKT Heritage Unit on it as a trailing DPU. Between that and the fact that their leader was a fresh SD70AH, I figured it was worth a chase from West Palm Springs to West Colton. Here's three of the better shots I managed.

1.) The train begins the downward trip into San Timoteo Canyon.
2.) Obviously, PM shots of eastward facing power are a tough thing to deal with. I quickly realized some so-so PM eastbound shots I tried in January were pretty awful in summer light, but thankfully I did manage to get one to work in the Canyon.
3.) Last location which I saw the train was entering West Colton at Pepper.

As usual for my "main line" trips, I'm including a log. As usual, corrects/additions/etc. are more than welcome!
