BNSF Detour through Mt. Shasta in the morning light
Author: RyanWilkerson

It's not everyday the BNSF runs trains through Dunsmuir but the last 24 hours has seen a pair of them. This one came through at just the right time and dodged the heavy cloud cover. Castle Crags can been seen in the background.

Awesome timing and what a shot! Also nice to have a couple of "catfish" thrown in for good measure:}

Sweet shot Ryan. Those clouds really add to an already dramatic and scenic angle.

Thanks guys! If the train would have been 2 minutes earlier or 1 minute later it wouldn't have worked. I was very grateful for the small fast-moving opening in the clouds that made this possible. It's been a long time since I've seen 6 motors on a NB train through here. Great way to start the day.

BTW, I'm just doing my part to hold down the fort while PhotoBob is out of town. :-)

Funny you mention that. Today's MRVEU is showing to run with 7. Will it happen? Only time will tell!

Maybe it'll make it up here with plenty of daylight :-)
Would be nice if it had the RVT 2909 with it.
