This Weekend's Foreign Power
Author: TheNavigator

As Matt DRGW's thread at http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,3476871 says, two NS Crescent Cab units put in a first-ever leading appearance into SoCal yesterday as seen here near Ludlow.

Later that same day in search of more non-BNSF and non-UP power I motored from the BNSF Needles Sub down to the UP Yuma Sub to catch KCS SD70ACe #4039 leading a westbound through San Timoteo Canyon.

Thanks for the timely head's up from a couple of TO members who enabled these shots.

And thanks for looking,
GK

1. NS 6931 and NS 6965 emulate 4-8-4 #611 as they lead the New York to LA stack train just east of Ludlow, Calif.

2. KCS 4039 is in charge of symbol KG4LB at Beaumont at the east end of San Tim.

3. At the west end of San Tim in Redlands, KCS 4039 continues to make track speed into the LA basin.
