X-Train update
Author: loopy7764

The first two passenger cars officially labeled as "X-Train" equipment were switched out yesterday (Sunday). I suppose they are en route to Alberquerque? This would be the first they've (kind of) executed anything on time, according to:

Don't know as they say Santa Fe and that's it. The news doesn't give much but says the RR has 18 miles of track? Not much of a run but may have something else in mind for a dinner train than noted.

A much better run would be to send the X Train at least down to ABQ via Lamy.

Then they would have to deal with NMDOT/Rail Runner schedules, SWC twice a day.
As it is, the SFe-Lamy line shares about 4 miles from Railyard terminal to RR jumpoff at I-25.

But the Abq ride would be scenic, with faraway mountain views, travel through green, agricultural pueblo lands along the Rio Grande, no photos here, please.

Visited the SFe depot last Monday (21) on way back from Chama, with the only evidence of SFSR X-Train ops was a few slick rack cards advertising--

Diamond Class service, including "Lounge Seating, Priority Meal Service, Modern Luxury Cars, Booth Seating, Exhibition Cooking, Meet with the Chef, Unlimited Tea/Coffee.

Turquoise Class will have "Table Seating, Groups Welcome, Vintage Cars, Senior/Military Discount".

"Sunsets & Stargazing or Buffet Brunch Train" will include "Buffet Style Lunch or Three Course Meal, Gluten Free Options, Vegetarian Options, Dairy Free Options, Desert Scenery, Southwestern Vistas".

"Available for Private Events, Bachelor Parties, Corporate, Filming, Reunions, Many More!"

No prices mentioned.

How about Santa Fe - Las Vegas, New Mexico?
