Westward facing DPU going east

Not enough space to do any pacing, especially in a town with a 30 mph speed limit, I thought that I would try some panning shots instead. These were the two best, my other attempts failing miserably. Any advice on improving my chances of getting it right more often? I was using a low ISO setting and a shutter speed of 25.
