Western Railroad Discussion > 1985 motive power & cabooseDate: 08/01/14 09:26 1985 motive power & caboose Author: lee_uintah The first UP train was westbound at "1,000 mile" tree in Weber canyon, Utah, between Henefer and Croydon. It's about MP 959 now. You can see the usual motive power of the time period, and the train had a caboose for final punctuation. The date was July 24, 1985.
The second UP train (with a CNW engine) is eastbound at the same location, on the same date. It is an example of an early double stack container train, without caboose. Edited 1 time(s).
