This mornings Beer Train power grab shot
Author: grandeguy

I was out and about this morning and the Beer train was getting put together in Golden. This set of power has been coming out to Golden most of the summer. All classic EMD's.

Nice "grab" shot! Those 2 lease engines have been running on the Beer train for quite awhile now.

can anyone share knowledge as to the approximate tonnage of the beer moves?

seems like a lot of power of a loads-downgrade-empties-upgrade short distance operation.

however, i'm wrong a lot! thanks for info.

The interchange to Coors has a steep grade down into and across the Clear Creek river bottoms. They would need a good amount of muscle to handle that.
