Western Railroad Discussion > Scary graffiti label questionDate: 08/31/14 21:32 Scary graffiti label question Author: photobob I spotted this graffiti on a box car sitting at Black Butte today. On the door of this car was a label saying it contained some kind of gas for fumigation. What would this be all about?

The label is over the graffiti so the intentions are not related. Date: 08/31/14 22:00 Re: Scary graffiti label question Author: mojaveflyer Shipments of grain are routinely fumigated with this gas to kill critters riding along in the grain. This is probably on a C-6 covered hopper, right?

They hauled it to Oakley OH, the Eastern end of the Cincinnati Terminal and contracted a local exterminator to tent and fumigate the car. The local crew was a little hesitant to handle the car....
