Western Railroad Discussion > Planes, Trains and a Sunset SequenceDate: 09/01/14 04:31 Planes, Trains and a Sunset Sequence Author: robj From May 2013, East end of CP Bensenville Yard, Illinois. A trio of SD-40's, leader best unseen in detail shooting into the sun. The next trains can bee seenin the background waiting for the lineup. Then with a slow start two sunsets shots with planes which are pretty regular. As I remember I am in the railroad park.
Back in my short stint with Milwaukee the pull backs out of the hump would pull out this way. When we would shove to the outbound(no radio), if there was train on the track next to you, you could not always see the engineer and rear brakeman at the same time so you would shuffle between two points and the engineer would continue to shove on faith. When we cleared the last switch into the outbound you would give the engineer rapid forward signs, he would throttle up the old FM's they used with some great sound effects and even fireworks out the stack.
