Posted from Android One more west. Bound UP. Manifest with two unique loads on a flat car. Spools. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/01/14 14:28 by czuleget. You can sit on that hill and look west all along the route through Mojave and up the hill to where the tracks bend around into Cache Creek Canyon near Warren, watching eastbounds crawl down the grade and eventually whiz by on the tangent between Sanborn and Bissel. You can also keep an eye on the intermediate signal between Bissel and Sanborn for westbounders and then drive the half-mile east to catch them at the west end of Bissel siding. Great place to sit with a sandwich, tunes on the radio, and some reading to catch up on in between trains.
