Not this station, but one of the other local outlets reported the "Canadian Northern"
derailed. Their owner had it correct in this morning's paper. You wonder why I sneer
at the media.

I know with merger and acquisitions that the CN goes all over. But it just strikes me weird when I hear CN in Iowa. Doesn't the Canadian National sound like it should only be in Canada? Don't mind me though, I'm still having a hard time accepting the UP takeover of SP or BN of Santa Fe.

Im guessing they're dumping dirt to make a pad for a crane to come in and lift the cars up and outta the way. Depending on if the carsa re loaded or not that road may be to far away for a crane to pick and swing.
