As a follow up to the recent threads on the Boles fire that burned through Weed, California, earlier this week...Roseburg, owner of the veneer mill in Weed that was heavily damaged by the fire, announced yesterday it plans to reopen the mill by Thanksgiving. Of the 135 employees at the Weed plant, 60 will be temporarily reassigned to the company's primary operations in Oregon, 35 will help with the cleanup and rebuild, and the remaining 40 will be temporarily furloughed until the mill reopens.
