Western Railroad Discussion > An Unusual Day On The BNSFDate: 09/19/14 18:14 An Unusual Day On The BNSF Author: Ritzville Today was unusually quiet due to a full day's work window in Ritzville. WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub at 79 degrees. Only had one train sneak thru the backyard at 1246pm, next train was at 539pm, along with one train earlier at 857am. I got up at 800am and those were the three trains for I observed during the day. I think it's going to be a busy weekend, LOL. Here's some of the trains that rolled thru the backyard last evening and today so far. It was an all Orange day except for one NS.
1. EB 453pm stack train with BNSF 4433 and NS 2614 on the point. 2. EB 503pm coal train with BNSF 8435-7258 on the pull with DPU. Great sounding whistle on 8435. 3. Another shot of same train. Date: 09/19/14 18:18 Re: An Unusual Day On The BNSF Author: Ritzville 4. EB 649pm manifest train with BNSF 5962-5688 on the point.
5. Another shot of same train. 6. Old CNW hopper rolling in same train. Date: 09/19/14 18:23 Re: An Unusual Day On The BNSF Author: Ritzville 7. The end of the manifest train with CNW hopper.
8. WB 857am coal train with BNSF 8897-8968-5??? on the pull with DPU. 9. Another shot of the two EMD's 8897-8968 on same train, good sounding as they rolled by. Date: 09/19/14 18:30 Re: An Unusual Day On The BNSF Author: Ritzville 10. EB 1246pm manifest train with BNSF 5455-4041-8231 on the point sneaking thru the work window.
11. WB 539pm manifest train with BNSF 5386-5082-4183 on the pull. 12. A load of steel in same train. Sorry for such a dull day, thank goodness it doesn't happen very often. I'm sure tomorrow will be more interesting. Have a great weekend for the last time this Summer everyone, and thanks for looking!
