Western Railroad Discussion > Varnishing the GrainDate: 09/20/14 11:21 Varnishing the Grain Author: mg8711 ...elevator that is.
You've already shot one special move, all the while in pursuit of another. You know it should be on it's way soon, having already shot it at it's originating point. The weatherman has been playing tricks on you all day. Thunder rumbles in the distance "Are we gonna get soaked waiting to get the shot here?". The thought can't help but creep into your mind, all the while breaks in the clouds keep lighting up the scene, then the light goes back away. Soon a horn is heard one mile away. More breaks in the clouds, more times the clouds cover up the sun. Finally the faint horn one mile away is much louder, only a couple blocks away and like you've been expecting the orange locomotive and it's string of beautiful passenger cars come into view, then pass "woosh woosh woosh woosh woosh" and they're gone. The excitement over? Not hardly... 1) BNSF 4139 rolls west with it's string of 18 stainless steel silver passenger cars that are hell bent for the Pacific Northwest as they "varnish the grain elevator" that is the Burlingame Coop. Burlingame, KS June 27th, 2014. Thanks for viewing. A dance that will never get old. Good composition, good description. A+ all the way...
