Western Railroad Discussion > Wind River Canyon adviceDate: 09/20/14 19:23 Wind River Canyon advice Author: murraylewis We are in the Thermopolis area for the next 2 days hoping to get a train in Wind River Canyon.
Can anyone confirm 160.770 as the channel for the Casper sub here, as that channel has been quiet so far! Not expecting many (any?) trains but if anyone has an idea if there is a pattern to operations through here, we would be very grateful. Pictures will follow if we get lucky. Jonathan and Murray Date: 09/20/14 19:35 Re: Wind River Canyon advice Author: TCnR That's what Altamont Press lists for Laurel to Casper.
South of Casper it would be 161.160, to Bridger Jct (south of Douglas at the big wye) also Wendover down towards but not into Denver. Between Bridger Jct and Wendover/Guernsey it's 161.265. Maybe try the Weather Service Broadcast to make sure the radio is ok. Also try an EOT channel to pick up anybody sneaking through town and also any DPU's. Edited 1 time(s).
