Western Railroad Discussion > Kcs 4779

I got word that this guy was leading a southbound oil train from North Dakota down the Gateway Sub today. Anyone have a trace?

This unit was seen on the 18th in the afternoon headed WEST on the point at Whitefish MT second unit was the KCS 4501 in gray The 4779 is in Belle Colours. My spotter at Sandpoint stated it went thru there on the 19th at 19:15 in the dark. The DPU on this train was a pumpkin. Where it went from Sandpoint is anybody's guess. It is possible it came back thru here but I have not heard anything. I could not get pics.(happens when you leave camera at home).
