Last day of a mini vacation we headed to Union Station for the day.

On the way back we stopped in Lawrence,KS at the visitors center/former UP depot. In all the years of going to Lawrence this is the first time ever seeing a train tied down on this piece of track.

Tied down there because someone keeps stealing the horns. Puts the locomotives in a much more visible spot making keeping an eye on it easier for a passing police officer. And having driven around Lawrence in the early AM, there are police by this location constantly.
